More than $30 million in funds approved for Miami Valley transportation projects – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio
MIAMI VALLEY — The Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission has approved $32.4 million in federal transportation funds.
The funds are planned to be used for 51 roadway, bikeway/ pedestrian transit and planning projects in the Miami Valley region.

MCRPC funds and Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act funds will finance more than $52.1 million in transportation projects when matched with local dollars, according to a release.
In September, MVRPC asked for suggestions for projects that the funds could be used for.
By October they had received 57 applications for projects totaling $58.7 million.

The public was asked for their comments and projects were ranked using MVRPC’s criteria.

The projects are expected to be implemented between the years 2023-2027.
