4 Immediate Eastern Conference Playoff Threats

The Miami Heat currently sit comfortably at the top of the Eastern Conference. It’s predicted they will earn the top seed heading into the playoffs, which is typically a good thing.

It means you did your work in the regular season and therefore should have the most advantages going into the postseason. This year, however, is different.

The one seed is still coveted and still provides its normal advantages.

The distinction this year, though, comes from the absolute chaotic state of affairs that currently resides within the Eastern Conference.

With injuries, trades, and vaccine mandates, this year could be anyone’s game once the seeding is broken down. A lower seed could suddenly find itself stronger than ever with more players available.

What happens then? This isn’t to say that Miami has been at full strength either.

All of the star players have missed notable time this year and former All-NBA guard, Victor Oladipo, is now officially back on the court.
