Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Buy Mansion in Miami, Close to Sale in SoCal

Three months after placing their Encino, CA, mansion on the market, the pop star Joe Jonas and his wife, the actress Sophie Turner, have snagged a Miami mansion for $11 million, the Real Deal reported.

The South Florida home had been on the market for nearly a year, after debuting last September at a price of $12 million.

Built in 1980 and recently renovated with “no expense spared,” the 10,416-square-foot abode features six bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms.

Described as a “truly unique residence” in the listing, the home pays homage to the designs of Frank Lloyd Wright. You’ll find tranquil indoor gardens, a koi pond, and a living room featuring soaring 30-foot ceilings topped by a dramatic chandelier. Other details include wood flooring, built-ins, and walls of glass with bay and canal views.

A master suite boasts glass doors leading outside, a sitting area, as well as dual bathrooms and designer closets. There’s also a gym and spa area, with both sauna and steam rooms.

Geared to entertaining, the home offers a chef’s kitchen with sleek, white cabinetry and a large center island with seating. Other perks include a climate-controlled wine cellar, plus a fireplace for congregating with a glass of vino in hand. A fun, dual-sided bar allows a host to serve up drinks both inside and outdoors.

Set on a large lot, the waterfront residence offers a 10-foot-deep pool, spa, patio, and a built-in barbecue grill. Plus, the property includes a circular driveway and two-car garage.

It sits on 94 feet of water frontage with direct access to the open bay and has its own private dock. The life aquatic may have appealed to the couple, who can now set sail on their own watercraft right from the backyard.

Located north of downtown Miami in the Bay Point neighborhood, the area is described in the listing as one of “only a handful of truly private communities in all Miami.”

Meanwhile, the couple’s contemporary compound in Encino, which they placed on the market in June for $16.75 million, has found a buyer.

They bought the Southern California home in 2019 for $14.1 million, and added high-end upgrades, including a spa, gym, a surround-sound system, a state-of-the-art theater, and a security system. The massive 15,000-square foot mansion sits on almost an acre, and includes a pool, putting green, and two-bedroom guesthouse.

Those digs were close to a home owned by the younger Jonas brother, Nick Jonas, and Nick’s wife, the actress Priyanka Chopra. Nick and Priyanka purchased a nearby mansion for $20 million at around the same time that Joe bought the place.

Joe Jonas is part of the Jonas Brothers band, along with his siblings Nick and Kevin, and fronts his own band, DNCE. Turner is known for her role as Sansa Stark in the HBO series “Game of Thrones,” and more recently starred as Jean Grey/Phoenix in the “X-Men” movies.

For the Miami deal, Dina Goldentayer and Sylvia Chamorro of Douglas Elliman represented the seller. Carl Gambino with Compass repped the buyers.
