Miami’s Garrett Cooper sitting versus Washington Monday
The Miami Marlins did not list Garrett Cooper in their starting lineup for Monday’s game against the Washington Nationals.
What It Means:
Cooper will take a seat as the Marlins take on left-hander Patrick Corbin and the Nationals this morning. Jesus Aguilar will take over at first base, Jacob Stallings will take a turn at designated hitter, and Nick Fortes will handle catching duties and bat fifth.
Cooper has been batting an impressive .315 so far this season, almost a top ten mark across the league. He has made 284 plate appearances and has 5 home runs, 25 runs, 36 RBI, and a .842 OPS.
