Man shot during apparent robbery in Miami, police say

MIAMI – Miami police are investigating a shooting that left a man injured early Wednesday morning.

The shooting was reported in the area of Northwest 17th Avenue and 44th Street.

According to Miami Police Officer Kenia Fallat, who is also a spokeswoman for the police department, detectives believe the motive was robbery.

She said Miami Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.

No other details were immediately released.
