JACOB (JACK) FINKEL Miami, FL – Jacob (Jack) Finkel, 90, passed away on April 2, in Miami, Florida, with his loving family by his side. Jack was born in New York City to Bella and Hyman Finkel. He grew up in Saratoga Springs and graduated from Saratoga High School in 1942. Jack loved Saratoga and frequently returned to visit his many friends. Jack was an Army-Air Force veteran who served in World War II. He then entered the legal profession after graduating from University of Miami Law School. Jack practiced law in Miami until his passing. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jean, and their children Elliott Finkel, Seth (Lori) Finkel, Marcia (Mitchell) Silverstein, and grandchildren Melissa, Matthew, and Aaron. He is also survived by his sister Esther (Harvey) Sonin and brother Dr. Abraham (Lynn) Finkel, and brother-in-law Dr. Irwin Fridovich, and numerous nephews and nieces whom he treasured. He was predeceased by his sisters Mollie Fridovich and Pearl Holzberg and brother-in-law Alvin Holzberg. Funeral and burial will be in Miami, Florida. Shiva will be observed at the home of Dr. Abraham Finkel in Niskayuna, New York. Contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to Beth Israel Synagogue, Schenectady, or the charity of choice.
