Miami cops descend on real estate mogul Patrick Carroll’s $16.4 million mansion after ‘hearing gunshots outside his home’
Miami police descended on real estate mogul Patrick Carroll’s glitzy $16.4 million mansion this week to investigate gunshot sounds heard outside his home.
In videos posted on Carroll’s Instagram, the 44-year-old billionaire was seen dressed in white tee, black joggers and a red MAGA cap and holding a half-smoked cigar as four police vehicles from the MPD pulled up to his ultra-luxury property.
A tattooed and agitated Carroll stood in his driveway, with his Doberman Pinscher and Goldendoodle scurrying about, and quipped: ‘I didn’t do anything wrong.’
One of the officers responded: ‘You didn’t do anything wrong? You are shooting bullets in the back. We don’t know if it is bullets, or rounds, or anything.’
Carroll responded: ‘I’m not letting them on my property’.
At one point, he waves his arm at the cops, and asks: ‘Am I under arrest. I need to know so I can ask my lawyer.’
The businessman filmed the incident and posted it to his Instagram with the caption: ‘I know my rights’ with an American flag emoji.
DailyMail.com has reached out to the Miami Police Department for comment.
In a statement issued to Page Six, a police spokesperson said: ‘I can confirm that law enforcement personnel responded to 810 Lakeview Drive regarding allegations of possible gunshots heard in the area.’
‘MBPD conducted a preliminary investigation which yielded no victim or scene. This incident was routed to our Criminal Investigations Division for a more thorough assessment,’ they added.
Carroll is later seen in walking down his driveway with two Rolls Royce’s visible in the video clip.
‘Look at all these cops. Like they have nothing better to do,’ he says on the recording.
‘Hello? Hello? I need to get out. I need to get out of my driveway.’
‘Can someone please move. I am in a hurry. Would someone mind moving?’
One of the cops respond: ‘I am getting the person to move the car.’
Carroll’s Instagram story offers a further glimpse of his fast-paced lifestyle filled with exclusive hotels, high-end restaurants, yachts, luxury cars, designer clothes, jewels, and wads of cash that he appears to be showing to the camera.
In one video, Carroll appears in his car complaining about the Miami traffic before he has a tantrum inside a Rolls Royce dealership showroom regarding an issue with his luxury vehicle.
He snipped at the manager about the service, and when the manager told him politely he would arrange to get him transportation to his meeting, Carroll snapped: ‘Well do it than. What am I stopping you ‘mother f******.’
Carroll posted the incident to his Instagram and said: ‘I think a leader should take responsibility for their s***** employees’.
A photograph has also emerged showing him brandishing what appears to be an assault rifle on his yacht, as per the news outlet.
A source told Page Six: ‘We want him to know that people care about him and want him to get help.’

This week’s incident is not the first time Carroll, who is worth an estimated $8.2billion, has made headlines.
In April 2023, Carroll reportedly tried to hit on a woman who was on a date at Miami’s Japanese restaurant Hiyakawa, and then spit in the manager’s face.
Carroll asked the woman’s date if he could buy her a drink, which the maître d’ says he politely declined to allow.
As the meal progressed, Carroll – not taking no for an answer – tried to follow the woman into the restroom, and when the manager tried to stop him Carroll spit in his face.
Months before that incident, Carroll was accused of telling the service manager he was a ‘street n****r,’ which resulted in him being banned from five Miami restaurants.
In that case, Carroll is said to have disapproved of a glass of wine that was poured for one of his guests.
The lawsuit claims he followed a Carbone server outside into the street and pushed him.
Their altercation caught the attention of the service manager who walked over to intervene.
The lawsuit describes how the service manager told him that his ongoing aggression had become a problem.
In response, Carroll tried to give him cash – which he refused.
According to the complaint, he then told him: ‘Never in my life will I bow down to a street [n—–] like yourself.’
The Daily Beast reports that Carroll also admitted to hitting his ex-wife in 2019, and that he threatened to beat up a Colorado ski resort official.
He was also reportedly sued for defamation by his ex-wife’s lawyer, who he’d claimed ‘messed with young children’, and also allegedly posted a video of his ex-wife having sex on Instagram, previously reported by DailyMail.com.
