Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman will play versus Miami

FSU football is facing off against their arch-rival Miami Hurricanes today in Doak Campbell Stadium, which will be televised on ABC at 3:30 PM EST.

The Seminoles are looking to make a statement in front of the college football landscape. Miami fans are always optimistic about their team’s ability to beat Florida State every season until the games get played, then they revert to next season.

Nonetheless, FSU is tasked with handling their rival who they defeated by a score of 45-3 last season in Coral Gables. Miami will ultimately give their A+ effort versus Florida State in hopes of ruining their undefeated season.

Head football coach Mike Norvell and company will be focused on the task at hand. The Seminoles are coming off a somewhat disappointing performance against the Pittsburgh Panthers on the road, but Florida State was able to capture the victory by a score of 24-7.

One glaring concern was that the Seminoles’ offense dealt with a multitude of injuries, which included superstar pass catchers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman who did not dress out for the contest.

One observation that can be concluded from the win was that signal caller Jordan Travis had to acclimate himself to target other option with both playmakers out.

On Saturday morning, it was announced that both Wilson and Coleman will play in today’s matchup versus Miami.

This is a huge boost to the Florida State offense and allows redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis to have many playmaking options against an aggressive Miami defensive unit.

During the 2023 season, both wide receivers have combined for 63 receptions for 953 yards and 11 touchdowns. That sort of production makes this Seminoles offensive unit an elite option.

Both Wilson and Coleman came back at just the right time as the Seminoles continue to cruise their way to potential College Football Playoff appearance.
