Miami Beach Home Built by Power Agents Sells for $28 Million

High-profile real-estate agents Oren and Tal Alexander have sold their home in Miami Beach, Fla., for $28 million, after listing it for $31.5 million in December.

The two owned the property with a third brother, Alon Alexander, who works in the security business. The Mediterranean-style estate on the Intracoastal Waterway was most recently asking $29 million.

Michelle Shurtleff and Nancy Batchelor of Compass represented the buyer, whose identity couldn’t be determined. Oren Alexander had the listing.

The Alexanders paid $3.42 million for the site in 2014. Along with their father, Miami developer Shlomy Alexander, they razed an existing home on the site to build the new estate.

Oren Alexander and his wife, Kamila Hansen Alexander, have been living there. Tal Alexander lives in New York, while Alon Alexander has his own house in Miami.

Oren Alexander said he is currently building a new home in the Sunset Islands, while Tal Alexander is also building a home in Miami Beach.

Spanning about 11,500 square feet, the estate has three structures: a main house, a coach house with a garage and staff quarters, and a third building with a guest suite and gym. The property currently has eight bedrooms, and the main house has a show kitchen used for basic cooking, as well as a larger, adjacent kitchen used for serious cooking.

Oren and Tal Alexander, co-founders of the brokerage Official, have sold nearly $3 billion in real estate over the past two years, Oren Alexander said. Their team represented billionaire hedge funder Ken Griffin in his record purchase of a Manhattan penthouse for roughly $238 million in 2019.

During the first quarter, sales of luxury single-family homes in Miami Beach dropped 52.9% from the same period last year, but the median price rose 14.7% to $18.35 million, according to appraisal firm Miller Samuel.
