Home Kyle Van Noy and his wife flipped hits the market in Canton

An ex-New England Patriot and his interior designer wife have a nearly $2.7 million Canton house to sell.

Former Patriot linebacker, home flipper, and recently signed Los Angeles Charger Kyle Van Noy and his wife, Marissa, flip houses when the athlete isn’t on the playing field. Their latest offering, a 6,510-square-foot home at 30 Bullens Way in Canton, hit the market one year after the couple bought it for $2.2 million.

This isn’t exactly a Chip and Joanna Gaines kind of “Fixer Upper.” The five-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home was custom built in 2019 and didn’t require much work by flipping standards. There is a heated six-car garage; home office; spacious kitchen with high-end appliances, including a wine fridge; high ceilings in many of the home’s living areas; and a primary bathroom with a chandelier.

Its current $2.69 million price comes after the couple added landscaping, a fence and a privacy gate on the 1.79-acre property, as well as a gym in the basement. There were other refreshes, including accent walls, high-end light fixtures, and fresh paint.

“Marissa is a very good designer,” said George Sarkis of The Sarkis Team at Douglas Elliman, the listing agent. “It’s really a turn-key property.”

While the listing doesn’t mention that the home is being sold furnished, Sarkis noted that the Van Noys often include the furniture in their flips since they are often custom pieces.

The Van Noys built a reputation for home flipping after the couple decided it was a venture they could pursue amid the volatility and uncertainty of a professional sports career (Kyle Van Noy, whom the Patriots released in March, started his career with the Detroit Lions. He won two Super Bowl with the Patriots, went to the Miami Dolphins for a season, and then returned to New England).

A Wall Street Journal profile of the Van Noys last year indicated they made almost $2 million in profits between 2015 and last November off three home sales. At the time, the couple were renovating and working toward putting the Canton home, as well as one in Santa Monica, Calif., up for sale.

The Canton property is obviously attractive for Patriot players given its luxury finishes and 20-minute drive to Gillette Stadium. It can also appeal to buyers looking for more bang for their buck compared with pricier enclaves like Milton or Westwood, Sarkis said.

But move fast: He indicated there are already two offers on the table.

“It’s a beautiful home, and hopefully we’re under contract by tomorrow,” Sarkis said.
