Miami Dolphins vs. San Francisco 49ers game score, live updates

The Miami Dolphins are taking their five-game win streak to California for back-to-back road tests against the 49ers and Chargers to open December.

Head coach Mike McDaniel returns to San Francisco in Week 13 to face the 49ers (7-4), where he served as offensive coordinator prior to taking the top job with the Dolphins (8-3) this offseason.

Last week, the Dolphins scored 30 unanswered points to open the game against Houston, cruising in the second half to a 30-15 victory.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa remains undefeated this season when starting and finishing the game as the Dolphins’ quarterback.

The 49ers did not score on the opening drive of the second half as defensive end Melvin Ingram sacked quarterback Brock Purdy on third down to end San Francisco’s drive.

The Dolphins will go without starting left tackle Terron Armstead and right tackle Austin Jackson at San Francisco today. That’s not ideal considering Nick Bosa will play edge rusher for San Francisco.

Greg Little and Brandon Shell have had some experience though also some struggles in their NFL careers at left tackle and right tackle. Miami needs them at their best.

Teddy Bridgewater is out as well with a knee. Skylar Thompson will dress as Tua Tagovailoa’s backup for a third straight week.

Noah Igbinoghene, Hunter Long and Erik Ezukanma are all scratched by the Dolphins.

Deebo Samuel, Arik Armstead and Trent Williams are all active for the 49ers.

Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (knee) warmed up at Levi’s Stadium prior to Sunday afternoon’s matchup against the 49ers.

Mostert and wide receiver Trent Sherfield are among the former San Francisco 49ers returning to the west coast this afternoon. Fellow running back Jeff Wilson Jr. joined the Dolphins midseason after a trade with the 49ers.
