The Miami Heat have been known for being able to get stars on their roster. They paired Shaquille O’Neal with a young Dwyane Wade and won a championship in 2006.

Most notably, they signed LeBron James and Chris Bosh to win back-to-back titles. The Heat fell one game short of an NBA Finals berth this season.

The front office will need to figure out in which ways they can improve the team. One route they might take is trying to add another star.

The Heat have the pieces to add a third star to join Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. They have young trade assets.

They are an attractive market with fewer taxes. They are a proven championship franchise that stays prepared to compete every year.

The Heat Culture isn’t for everyone but for some, it could be the perfect fit. There are some talented stars that could become targets for Miami.

The Heat have always favored building the best team rather than going after talent. They might have to make the same choice this offseason.

If Pat Riley decides to look for another star, here are the three best players who could be available this offseason. Here’s how they should be ranked, from the worst fit to the best fit with the Miami Heat.
