Inter Miami CF and Dawn Team Up to Fight Food Insecurity

Inter Miami CF and Dawn today announced they are teaming up to launch “Free Kicks for Free Meals” to fight food insecurity in South Florida. The partnership enables Inter Miami to donate to a South Florida hunger-relief organization for every free kick Inter Miami CF is awarded during 2022 Home Games this season, up to 50,000 meals to those in need.

The initiative is under the umbrella of Inter Miami’s larger, wide-ranging, and multi-year deal with Procter & Gamble. The overarching partnership enables brands such as Gillette®, Old Spice®, Crest®, Oral B®, Dawn®, Charmin®, and Bounty® to tap into and support the passionate fandom for the world’s game. As part of the agreement, brands in the P&G family will be teaming up with Inter Miami CF to unveil initiatives to support local communities and bring even greater equality and inclusion to the sport.

“This initiative is hugely important to our club,” said Chris Allan, Vice President, Marketing, Community and Fan Engagement. “During the pandemic, we opened our stadium and distributed tens of thousands of meals to those in need. We are constantly focused on finding a way to use fútbol as a force for good in our community and we are grateful for partners like Dawn that work with us in tandem towards this mission.”

“Food insecurity is near to my heart, as I grew up in poverty and my family lived on Food Stamps,” said Dawn Brand Communications Manager Amy Sumontha. “During the pandemic, more people have experienced food insecurity, especially children – not to mention the huge racial disparity amongst those who are impacted. Our Dawn team is thrilled that we can begin making an impact and help feed those in need.”

*The free kicks contemplated in this initiative are defined as those resulting from a foul and do not include corner, goal or penalty kicks
