A classic waterfront Miami home is about to hit the market for $16.9 million.
The sellers are health and wellness restaurateurs Jennifer and Omer Horev, founders of the popular Pura Vida chain — where celebs such as David Beckham get their green juices.
Pura Vida means the pure or simple life, as is the famed motto of easy-going Costa Rica, and the couple grew the chain to 22 outposts — all while living in the home, notes listing broker Dina Goldentayer of Douglas Elliman. “They built their business while living here. It’s definitely a good-luck house,” she quipped.
The couple paid $6.8 million for the residence, at 5401 Pine Tree Drive, in 2020. Current neighbors on the street include DJ Khaled, who paid $26 million for an estate that he bought from Michael Lerner, founder of the 1980s-era “Baby on Board” signs.
Built in 1925, the home was gut-renovated in 2020 by Menin Homes + Design, whose clients include Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, and Jared’s brother Josh Kushner.
Built as a traditional Spanish villa, the 5,950-square-foot home comes with five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and features a courtyard entrance. Design details include arched doorways, oak floors and a marble-clad fireplace.
There’s also an open living room with custom built-ins, a media lounge, an entertainment bar and an Italian chef’s kitchen.
The property sits on a third of an acre and features a landscaped backyard with dining and lounging areas, an outdoor kitchen and a dock — with 75 feet on the water.
