Big Bang Theory’s Alessandra Torresani Shares Swimsuit Photo From Miami
Alessandra Torresani is heating up Florida – in her swimsuit. In a recent social media post the Big Bang Theory star shows off her amazing body in a bathing suit while poolside in the Sunshine State. “When life gives you lemons, go to Miami and eat some,” she captioned the series of Instagram snaps taken at Soho Beach House. “Bringing sexy back,” commented one of her followers. “Beautiful,” added another. How does the 36-year-old maintain her amazing body? Celebwell rounded up her top health habits.
Alessandra, who played Claire on The Big Bang Theory, opened up about being diagnosed with bipolar 1 to 1 And 1. “I finally felt relieved when I was diagnosed, because I finally understood what was happening instead of feeling like something was constantly wrong with me,” Torresani said. “After being diagnosed, I felt better because I knew more about how to get help and find the proper medication to help me. Not pinpointing it was very frustrating and hard because people just labeled me as crazy, but I knew there had to be a reason why I felt the way I did, and I could now identify it.”
Alessandra goes on a lot of walks. Sometimes she takes her baby in her stroller to get her steps in. Going for a daily walk can be a game changer in terms of exercise, especially at a brisk speed. One study published in JAMA Internal Medicine found that walking at a brisk pace for about 30 minutes a day led to a reduced risk of heart disease, cancer, dementia and death, compared with walking a similar number of steps but at a slower pace.
Alessandra is all about riding horses. “I was beyond honored to host @namicommunicate Self Care University at @specialspiritinc equine therapy center! As a NAMI Ambassador, I have the opportunity to experience such unique, healing moments in the Mental Health space,” she captioned a recent post. According to the American Heart Association, riding horses is great for your health. Not only does it boost cardiovascular health, but builds core strength, burns calories, and lowers blood pressure. It is also great for your mental health as it helps relax you.
Alessandra also enjoys hiking. According to the National Parks Service, the physical benefits of hiking include:
- Building stronger muscles and bones
- Improving your sense of balance
- Improving your heart health
- Decreasing the risk of certain respiratory problems
When she is near water, you can find Alessandra burning calories in the pool. Swimming is a good way to get regular aerobic physical activity, according to the CDC. Just two and a half hours per week of aerobic physical activity, such as swimming, bicycling, or running, can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses. In addition to the many physical benefits, there are multiple studies supporting the mental health benefits of swimming as well.
