David Beckham filmed painting a HUGE mural of Lionel Messi in Miami by Victoria
There is rolling out the red carpet, and then there is David Beckham painting a huge mural of Lionel Messi in tribute to soccer’s biggest star joining his MLS team.
Victoria Beckham shared the footage on her Instagram account on Sunday, showing Beckham on a crane painting the huge mural on a side of a building in Miami.
‘Only arrived a few days and he got straight to it! Victoria wrote on Instagram of her husband, tagging Messi. ‘@DavidBeckham is quite the artist!’
In a separate post, she wrote: ‘@DavidBeckham feeling quote accomplished AS HE SHOULD’.
Then, posting on her Instagram story she wrote: ‘So I think that David has done a really good job of painting Messi here in Miami. We’ve only been here a few days and he has got straight to it.

‘And look, it’s massive. Is there nothing that David Beckham can’t do? He is up there, painting away, I’m impressed.’
Messi is expected to arrive in Miami on Tuesday and put the finishing touches to his hugely anticipated move to Major League Soccer.
He is currently on vacation in the Caribbean with his wife, childhood sweetheart Antonela, and their three children.
Messi will earn between $50m-$60m a year in Miami, with his contract bankrolled in part by adidas, who will give him a share of the shirts they sell with his name on, and Apple TV, who will share the money made from TV subscriptions to MLS.
The 36-year-old Messi, who last year lifted the World Cup with Argentina, is believed to be signing a two-and-a-half year contract with Miami and will have an option for a third year.
Speaking last week of his pride about Messi’s impending arrival, Beckham said: ‘A couple of weeks ago, I woke up to about a million messages on my phone.
‘I was thinking, “What’s gone off? I don’t usually get this many messages”. All of a sudden, I hear Leo has come out and announced he’s coming to Miami.
‘Obviously, it wasn’t a surprise to me. I have always said, from the word go, that if I had the opportunity to bring the best players in the game to Miami, at whatever time of their careers, I would do that. I have always made that commitment to our fans.
‘So when I hear that one of the best players — if not the best player — who has won everything in the game, who is still a great player, still young and still doing what he’s doing, wants to play for my team, it’s a massive moment for us.’
Messi is set to be unveiled at his new team’s DRV PNL Stadium on July 16, alongside fellow new signing Sergio Busquets – a friend of Messi’s from their time at Barcelona together.
Messi’s first Miami game is actually scheduled to be in the newly-formed Leagues Cup against Mexican team Cruz Azul on July 21.
But the team desperately needs Messi injection of star quality.
Miami is last in the Eastern Conference and has not won in its last 10 MLS games. With 18 points from 21 games, it is eight points outside the playoff places.
Messi, meanwhile, shared a picture from his Caribbean holiday on Sunday, with a picture of him standing in the sun simply captioned ‘vacay’.
