When is Messi’s presentation for Inter Miami? When will he arrive in Miami?
The countdown is on for Lionel Messi to touch down in the USA, and his arrival to the team is getting closer by the second. The player is now wrapping up his holiday period after his exit from PSG and is finally getting ready to start his stateside adventure.
As suspected, the arrival of Messi to Fort Lauderdale in Florida will take place on Tuesday 11 July, the same day that he will sign the remaining parts of his contract with Inter Miami.
And now the date of Messi’s presentation as an Inter Miami player has been confirmed by the club in a press release: ‘The Unveil’ will be a “major unveiling event [that] will include exciting entertainment, speeches on the pitch and more”, said a club statement that curiously did not mention Messi by name, so who knows what other surprises are in store…
As previously revealed, Messi’s presentation is though to be taking place on the same day that both Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba will be presented, just ahead of the team’s game against Cruz Azul in the Leagues Cup.
When is Messi’s presentation for Inter Miami?
Once everything is signed and sealed between the club and player, the World Cup winner’s long-awaited move to The Herons will be officially announced and presented to the public, which will undoubtedly be a huge event for all involved.
It is also expected that Inter Miami will host an open training session on Monday 17 July, which will be the first time that fans will be able to see their three new stars, Messi, Busquets and Alba, in the flesh and in the Inter Miami kit for the first time.
The south of Florida is preparing for one of the most important weeks in its recent history, given both the presentation of the player and then the subsequent debut against Cruz Azul have captured the whole state and country, but the entire sporting world. Messi already has plenty of murals around the city, highlighting the joy he has brought to the people, and he hasn’t even kicked a ball yet. This is only going to get bigger.
