When it comes to winemaking, California usually comes to mind since some of the most well-known vineyards hail from the paradise known as Napa Valley.
But now, a new player has entered the match: Nebraska.

Soaring Wings is an almost 30-acre working vineyard that has listed in Springfield for $3.1 million and is considered one of “the hottest tourist destinations and event spots in the metro area,” the listing on Realtor.com said. “This offering includes the real estate and event venue business and wine producing facilities and name.”
The vineyard was the brain child of the current owners, Realtor reported.
“The current owners moved to Nebraska and wanted to find land to start a winery, because they have always been fascinated with wine,” listing agent Michael Maley told Realtor. “They found their 30 acres, built their house there, and started their winemaking operation.”
Features of the property include:
-
Event venue that can hold up to 1,000 guests inside/outside
-
Full kitchen
-
Meeting rooms
-
“Amphitheater type stage”
“The wine that is produced in the building is sold to grocery stores and is white-labeled in restaurants here in Omaha,” Maley told Realtor. “What was just a pet project and a hobby has turned into a really feasible business.”
There’s even a 3,909-square-foot house on the property. However, the listing doesn’t showcase the home.
Springfield is just outside Omaha.
