Miami Dade College and Warren Henry Auto Group Announce New Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship
Program participants will earn as they learn to become Automotive Service Technicians
Miami, June 23, 2022 – Miami Dade College (MDC), in partnership with Warren Henry Auto Group, will announce an Automotive Service Technician Apprenticeship Program that blends classroom instruction with paid on-the-job training at 9:40 a.m. on Monday, June 27 at the Warren Henry Auto, 2300 NE 151st St. in North Miami. A tour of the facility will also be given. The apprenticeship offers free tuition, health insurance, books, and tools. The program is supported by CareerSource South Florida, Miami Dade County Beacon Council and Miami Community Ventures.
“Providing the opportunity to “earn as you learn” is among the many ways MDC is paving the way forward for members of our community,” said MDC Provost Dr. Malou C. Harrison. “We’re pleased to offer this unique program in collaboration with Warren Henry Auto Group and partners. We remain committed to growing the local workforce and helping individuals achieve economic mobility through this and many short-term training programs offered at the College.”
Sponsored by MDC’s Apprenticeship Program, the Warren Henry Apprenticeship Program combines classroom instruction and on-the-job training to prepare participants to become Automotive Service Technicians. Hands-on training will take place at Warren Henry North Miami and Cutler Bay service locations. Upon completion, apprentices will receive an Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion issued by the Florida Department of Education and have the option to work at one of Warren Henry’s dealership locations.

There is no other place in Miami that will give an apprentice the opportunity to learn on million-dollar vehicles.”
