MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide at a South Miami home.

South Miami Police responded around 2:25 p.m. on Sunday to a residence at 5711 Twin Lake Drive after reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found two men dead inside the home with apparent gunshot wounds.

MDSO homicide detectives took over the investigation.

Authorities say one of the men had a self-inflicted gunshot wound, leading investigators to believe the incident was a domestic-related murder-suicide.

The men were in their 40s and 60s.

The investigation is ongoing.
