Cardinal Cold in Miami – Stanford Cardinal
MIAMI – Stanford dropped its fourth in a row on Thursday night, falling 66-51 to Miami.
Hailee Swain tied a career high with 16 points and seven rebounds, Nunu Agara chipped in 11 and Lara Somfai had 10 boards, her 11th game in double figures.
Stanford cut a 12-point deficit to four early in the fourth quarter, but the Hurricanes would go on a 16-5 run over the next 6:20. Miami turned the ball over just once in the second half, on a Somfai steal with just six seconds to go that led to an Agara layup.
The Cardinal managed 20 first-half points, its fewest of the season. Stanford was 3-of-21 on 3-pointers and shot 31.7 percent overall.
Stanford is next in action at Florida State on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. ET.
