Woman turns up dead in car in West Miami after shooting

WEST MIAMI, Fla. – Police officers found a woman dead in a car late Saturday night in West Miami and Miami-Dade detectives were investigating the fatal shooting on Sunday.

According to Detective Angel Rodriguez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Police Department, police officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert shortly before 11:10 p.m., near Northwest 65 Street and 20 Avenue.

According to Rodriguez, after the police officers found the woman in the car, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel also arrived and pronounced the woman dead.

Homicide detectives were investigating the case. They asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Miami-Dade County Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
