Miami

Will this finally be the year that the ACC Championship features Miami and FSU?

For reference, the Miami Hurricanes football team joined the ACC in 2004 and has nothing to show for it. If you witnessed their fan base on Twitter, you would have thought that they have been winning back-to-back-to-back conference titles.

However, the last time the Hurricanes were in the ACC Championship Game, they got obliterated by the Clemson Tigers by a score of 38-3. This season could be a prime opportunity for Miami to make some moves as they do not have to worry about the “difficult” Coastal division.

Head football coach Mario Cristobal has had an unforgettable two seasons in Coral Gables where he has a combined 12-13 record. The saddest part is that they are trying to cope with having patience where they are relating it to the Seminoles having the utmost confidence in Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell after struggling in his first two seasons in Tallahassee.

Overall, this is Miami’s best shot to be successful as they do not play the likes of Clemson, North Carolina, or Notre Dame. The two toughest challenges are Louisville and Florida State. The Seminoles have had the Hurricanes’ number where they have won the last three meetings.

However, we have heard that Miami was going to have an easy slate to the conference championship, but they ended up choking their opportunity when it came to producing wins on the field. They added ultra-talented signal-caller Cameron Ward from Washington who is a dynamic dual-threat option.

Overall, the Seminoles are trotting out a fairly new roster as well with many newcomers. Head football coach Mike Norvell will have his work cut off for him. However, Florida State has an opportunity to start the season fast with veteran quarterback DJ Uiagalelei before getting into the meat of the schedule with the likes of Clemson, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Miami, and Florida.

I believe that Florida State is destined to get back to the ACC Championship Game after what transpired in last year’s College Football Playoff Selection Show. This is a team that is ready to prove the doubters wrong. They have to find a way to win two of the four contests between Clemson, North Carolina, Notre Dame, and Miami.

I wonder if this is gas waiting to pass, but I believe that this is finally Miami’s year to be successful and make it to the ACC Championship Game. It makes me want to throw up but I think the toughest challenges on their schedule are Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Louisville.

Fans should be preparing for a great Twitter (X) battle in December if the Hurricanes do not self-implode.
