NYRB rock a “unique collaboration” jersey

The New York Red Bulls will be wearing their 2023 home jersey today. It’s a sort of faded yellow, with darker smudges around the edged of the shirt. It’s a cool design, but one which may leave some outsiders wondering exactly what the bizarre pattern is supposed to represent. 

“This jersey is part of a unique collaboration with luxury sportswear designer Daniel Patrick which pays homage to New York City’s rich streetwear culture.” 

That’s what the MLS website says, at least. Hope that clears things up.
