MATCH RECAP: Inter Miami CF II Falls on the Road Against New England Revolution II


Inter Miami CF II fell 3-1 this Sunday afternoon in the team’s away match fixture against the New England Revolution II at Mark A. Ouellette Stadium. The match featured midfielder Yannick Bright’s first goal of the season.

The Herons’ starting XI featured Cole Jensen in goal; Nyk Sessock, Tyler Hall, Noah Allen and Ryan Sailor made up the back four; captain Santiago Morales, Bright, and Lawson Sunderland, started in midfield; forwards, Alejandro Flores, Ryan Carmichael, and Bryan Destin, lead the team’s attack.

The opponents opened up the match with a goal in the 20th minute, with New England Revolution’s Patrick Leal finding the back of the net to take the 1-0 lead. The hosts then scored again to extend their lead with a header from Marcos Dias in the 30th minute and Jack Panayotou in the 44th minute making the scoreline 3-0.

Miami then opened up the second half strong, instantly taking control. Inter Miami II struck back with a volley from Bright in the 54th minute marking his first goal of the 2024 campaign. The goal featured an assist from Morales, making the scoreline the match 3-1. Despite Inter Miami’s efforts throughout the second half, the 3-1 scoreline held in favor of the hosts until the final whistle.

The Herons will now return home this upcoming weekend to take on the New York Red Bulls on Friday, May 3 at 6 p.m. ET.
