Football: TCU safety Mark Perry signs UDFA contract with Miami Dolphins

The 2024 NFL Draft concluded on Saturday afternoon with three TCU Horned Frogs including offensive lineman Brandon Coleman, tight end Jared Wiley and cornerback Josh Newton hearing their names called. The fun wasn’t over when the draft ended, however, as multiple TCU athletes signed with NFL teams as undrafted free agents. That includes safety Mark Perry, who has reportedly signed with the Miami Dolphins.

Perry started his career at Colorado, where he recorded 94 tackles, four passes defensed and three interceptions before transferring to TCU. The 6-foot, 215-pounder from Rancho Cucamongo, California started at strong safety for two seasons as a Horned Frog, totaling 142 tackles, six passes defensed and one forced fumble. Perry was a two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree as well as an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention during the 2023 campaign. Perry was also selected to participate in the 2024 East-West Shrine Bowl in Frisco, Texas.

Perry will take his talents to South Beach and compete for a roster spot with the Dolphins, who bring back safety Jevon Holland and signed free agent safety Jordan Poyer over the offseason. Miami used a sixth-rounder on California safety Patrick McMorris.
