How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted To Friday’s Win Over The Portland Trail Blazers

The Miami Heat suffered a blowout defeat against the Golden State Warriors Tuesday night.

So what better way to respond then with the largest victory in franchise history? The Heat logged a 60-point win over the Portland Trail Blazers to keep pace with the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference standings.

Even for the Trail Blazers’ lowly record, a victory of that margin is something to celebrate. Fans had much praise for their team just days after nearly declaring the season over.

Bam Adebayo lead the way with a near-triple double with 21 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists. Haywood Highsmith continued his hot streak, scoring 20 points on 5 of 6 shooting from 3-point range. Over the last three games, he is averaging 17.7 points on 92 percent shooting from the arc.

Meanwhile, Thomas Bryant neared his career high with a 26-point performance, along with 12 rebounds and two blocks.

Arguably the biggest takeaway was this large victory with Jimmy Butler scoring just eight points. This displays Miami’s ability to generate offense even without Butler. This should be very encouraging for fans, who had to watch Butler single-handedly carry the Heat in the postseason.

And of course, why not throw some shots at Damian Lillard and the Trail Blazers one time? Fans still aren’t over general manager Joe Cronin refusing to give up Lillard to Miami, so they take any opportunity to troll Portland.

The Heat play the Washington Wizards (14-60) Sunday night.
