Miami Heat’s Duncan Robinson in NBA concussion protocol

MIAMI — Duncan Robinson, initially listed as leaving Monday night’s loss to the Phoenix Suns due to illness, has entered the NBA’s concussion protocol, listed as out for Wednesday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings at Kaseya Center.

Robinson took a hard fall and his head hit the court during Saturday’s loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden, with the symptoms eventually leading to entrance in the NBA’s protocol.

As a matter of perspective, forward Haywood Highsmith missed three games and nine days when in concussion protocol earlier this season.

The Heat are 0-2 in Robinson’s absence this season, with losses in November in New York and Brooklyn, when he was sidelined by a sprained right thumb.

With Robinson out, the Heat are recalling Cole Swider from the G League. Swider, scheduled to fly from Sioux Falls on Wednesday morning, is listed as questionable for the Kings game.
