MIRAMAR, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy died and a 17-year-old girl was injured after a Sunday night shooting while they were both in a white car in Broward County, police said.

Detectives identified the teen who died as Johnnie Henderson, of Miami-Dade County. The driver’s side of the white Hyundai Sonata he and his girlfriend were in was riddled with bullets.

The teenage girl was at Memorial Regional Hospital and her condition was critical after the 8 p.m. shooting near the intersection of Riviera Boulevard and University Drive, according to The Miramar Police Department.
