Former Arizona Wildcats safety Isaiah Taylor headed to Miami, defensive lineman Jason Harris to Marshall

Arizona has been fairly quiet in terms of pulling players from the NCAA transfer portal, with four pickups to this point. It’s been more active with former Wildcats, with more than half of the players who have entered finding their next school.

The latest to announce their destinations are safety Isaiah Taylor and defensive lineman Jason Harris. Taylor is off to Miami (Fla.), where his father Jason Taylor is on the defensive staff, while Harris has signed with Marshall.

Taylor started two games for the UA in his three seasons, including the Mississippi State game in September. In 2023 he had eight of his 15 tackles in that contest.

Harris, the younger brother of ex-Arizona defensive lineman Jalen Harris, picked Marshall as his third school after starting his career at Colorado in 2020. He was on the UA roster in 2021-22 but left the team before this past season.

Also this week, ex-UA defensive lineman Jacob Kongaika announced he was heading up Interstate 10 to play for rival ASU.

The three other former Wildcats to pick their transfer destinations are going to FCS schools. Linebacker Ammon Allen and defensive back Canyon Moses have signed with NAU, while defensive lineman Orin Patu is off to Bethune-Cookman.

Still yet to commit or sign: quarterback Jayden de Laura, running back Stevie Rocker Jr., linebacker Daniel Heimuli and defensive backs Cruz Rushing and Charles Yates Jr.
