MLS 2024 schedule: when does Messi’s Inter Miami play against LA Galaxy? How to get tickets

After hosting the opening game of the 2024 MLS regular season, Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami will visit the league’s most decorated side in their second match of the campaign.

The Herons welcome Real Salt Lake to DRV PNK Stadium in the season’s curtain-raiser on 21 February 2024, before travelling to California to take on five-time MLS champions Los Angeles Galaxy four days later.

What other Western teams will Miami play?

After Miami’s match-ups with Salt Lake and the Galaxy, there are four more cross-conference clashes on the Floridians’ 2024 regular-season schedule, which was confirmed on Wednesday.

Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino’s men, who compete in the Eastern Conference, are also due to face Western Conference clubs Colorado Rapids, Sporting Kansas City, Vancouver Whitecaps and St Louis City.

Miami’s remaining 28 regular-season games will all be against fellow Eastern Conference teams.

The 2023 Leagues Cup winners are targeting a return to the MLS playoffs, after missing out on the postseason last term despite a late-campaign upturn in form following the summer signing of Messi.

For the Galaxy, who also missed out on the 2023 playoffs, the visit of Miami is their opening game of the new season.

LA Galaxy vs Inter Miami: what time, where, how to watch?

Inter Miami will visit LA Galaxy on Sunday 25 February 2024, with kick-off at Dignity Health Sports Park scheduled for 9:30pm ET/6:30pm PT.

You’ll be able to watch the game on MLS Season Pass, a subscription service on the streaming platform Apple TV+.

How to get tickets for LA Galaxy vs Inter Miami

According to LA Galaxy’s official website, Galaxy season-ticket members will be able to purchase pre-sale home-section tickets for the Inter Miami game from an unconfirmed date in January 2024. American Express card holders also get advance access to tickets. The club has not confirmed when home seats will be made available to the general public.

The Galaxy also say that a “limited number” of season tickets are still up for grabs. For more information, check out the club’s ticketing portal.

At the time of writing, it was unclear when tickets for away supporters will be placed on sale.

LA Galaxy vs Inter Miami: previous meetings

Inter Miami and LA Galaxy have met once previously since the Florida franchise joined the league in 2020.

In April 2021, Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández scored twice, before Sacha Kljestan grabbed a late winner, as the Galaxy came from behind to win 3-2 at DRV PNK Stadium. Robert Robinson and Gonzalo Higuaín were on target for the hosts.
