Miami Dolphins maintain AFC East lead; Buffalo Bills continue to heat up

The Miami Dolphins got back on track with a whopping 30-0 victory over the New York Jets. With the win, the Dolphins improved to 10-4 and remained as the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture.

The Dolphins weren’t the only AFC East team to show out amidst Week 15 competition. Hours later, the Buffalo Bills delivered a stunning 31-10 triumph over the Dallas Cowboys. As a result, the Bills improved to 8-6 and found themselves at the top of the “in the hunt” category of the playoff picture alongside the Houston Texans.

As the regular season winds down, the Bills pose a threat to the Dolphins’ divisional lead. As long as Miami continues to win, they’ll remain ahead of the Bills. It won’t necessarily be easy, with upcoming matchups against the 10-4 Dallas Cowboys and 10-3 Baltimore Ravens before ending the regular season with a head-to-head matchup against the Bills.

Buffalo, on the other hand, has easier matchups against the 5-9 Los Angeles Chargers and 3-11 New England Patriots.

Given the results from Week 15, the Dolphins’ chances of securing the AFC East title dropped from 76% to 70%, while the Bills’ odds increased from 24% to 30%.
