Fitness Buff Anne Mahlum Snaps up Miami Home for $11.3 Million

A newly constructed Miami home in the affluent Pinecrest enclave has sold for $11.3 million, a neighborhood record, according to Chad Carroll at the Carroll Group at Compass, who represented the buyer.

Fitness entrepreneur and philanthropist Anne Mahlum and life coach Brett Eaton purchased the 11,586-square-foot home on Wednesday, according to Carroll. The home was originally listed for $13.5 million in July, and it sold the first day it was on the market.

“This really is our dream home,” said Mahlum. “It is going to be a health, wellness and activity oasis with a beautiful pool, professional beach volleyball court, home gym, sauna, cold plunge, a games’ table and a wine fridge full of kombucha. We can’t wait to physically exhaust all of our friends and family.”

Mahlum is the founder of the pilates-style workout studio [solidcore], which she sold to a private equity firm in April of 2023. She launched her most recent fitness and wellness project in March in New York City. She’s also the founder of Back on My Feet, a national nonprofit organization that uses running to empower homeless people.

Eaton is a coach and speaker whose first book will be released next year.

Cristina Ramirez of Florida Realty of Miami had the listing. The seller was not available for comment.

Completed this year, the modern home sits on an acre of land—enough room for all those planned outdoor amenities, the listing said. The residence was designed by architect and landscape architect Andres Tabora.

The home boasts a double-height great room with a full-height marble mantle and walls of windows, the listing said. There’s an Italian kitchen with an island and two sinks, as well as a downstairs sunroom with a bar.

There are eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with a primary suite that offers a boutique-like dressing room and a bathroom with two sinks and a soaking tub.

Other amenities include an elevator, a detached guest suite and a pajama room, the listing said.

There’s also a three-car garage.

Pinecrest is one of Miami’s most popular neighborhoods, Carroll said.

“The community is a magnet for home buyers because of the large lot sizes and quality of new construction homes available—and this property is the perfect example of what luxury buyers are willing to close on,” he said. “The area itself offers a little bit of everything from great schools and parks to a variety of dining options, it’s the quintessential South Florida living experience.”
