Trammell Crow Jr. To Face Trial Over Sex Trafficking Allegations

Trammell Crow Jr., a son of the legendary Texas developer Trammell Crow, will have to face trial over allegations that financed and participated in a sex trafficking ring.

The two unnamed women who filed the lawsuit claim that Crow and more than 100 other people and businesses took part in the enterprise, Bloomberg reported.

Crow denies the claims.

“The account of events linking our client to this story is absurd and blatantly false. We’re certain the evidence will make that clear in future legal proceedings,” Crow’s lawyers said in a statement.

The women allege that they were threatened, drugged and sexually abused. Crow and several other defendants sought to dismiss the case, but a San Antonio judge ruled that the women’s claims were described clearly enough for the case to continue.

U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said it appeared that the two accusers had not served complaints on any of the other alleged participants in the sex trafficking ring. The judge set a Dec. 4 deadline for the two women to offer some explanation why claims against those defendants should not be thrown out of court.
