Master Brokers Forum convenes to discuss AI, show off future Perigon Miami Beach 


The Master Brokers Forum recently assembled at The Perigon Miami Beach’s newly opened sales gallery at the 1 Hotel South Beach for a discussion about artificial intelligence (AI).

More than 70 members of the local real estate community enjoyed a cocktail reception and presentation about the new condominium tower before a dinner and panel discussion led by Miami broker Andres Asion, who was joined by panelists Liz Sturrock, chief of MLS and innovation for MIAMI REALTORS®, and David Siddons Group CEO David Siddons, who is an industry leader in the use of AI. Discussion topics included AI tools like ChatGPT and Bard, Realtor-specific websites such as ChocolateChip.ai and Nila June, and video-creation tools like RPR and Deepbrain.io.

“The rapid integration of AI into our industry caught many of us seasoned real estate professionals off guard, sparking genuine apprehensions about our place in the industry’s future,” Master Brokers Chair Iliana Abella said . “However, our distinguished panelists skillfully dispelled our reservations and ushered in a sense of comfort regarding this innovative technology, explaining that its adoption will empower us to become even more efficient and indispensable to our clients.”

According to Sales Director Philip Freeman, who led the pre-dinner presentation, The Perigon is expected to break ground in early 2024 with completion set for 2026. The oceanfront tower is designed by international architectural firm OMA and has interiors by Tara Bernerd, direct water views, 10-foot ceiling heights and 10- to 12-foot-deep wraparound balconies. Additional amenities include a private oceanfront restaurant by Michelin-starred Chef Shaun Hergatt, an oceanfront swimming pool with cabanas and a terraced fitness center with water views. The project is a joint venture between Mast Capital and Starwood Capital Group, with sales and marketing managed by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing. Prices start at $4.25 million.
