CP, DRA, Compras, Federal Realty, Grass River Nab Tenants


El Bagel | Coconut Grove | Miami 

 

El Bagel will open a store on Dec. 1 in Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood. 

 

The homegrown bagel shop leased 500 square feet at 3015 Grand Avenue at the CocoWalk mixed-use complex, according to an El Bagel news release. It will mark El Bagel’s second outpost, with the first one at 6910 Biscayne Boulevard in Miami’s MiMo Biscayne Boulevard Historic District

 

Matteson Koche, a former urban planner with the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District, started El Bagel as a food truck pop-up in Wynwood in 2016, according to the release. He then partnered with Simon Caicedo, whom Koche met through his work for the BID, and the pair opened the MiMo shop in 2020. 

 

A partnership among Federal Realty Investment Trust, Grass River Property and Comras Company owns the CocoWalk building. 

 

Coconut Grove-based Grass River is led by Justin Kennedy, Toby Cobb and Peter LaPointe. Rockville, Maryland-based Federal Realty is led by Donald Wood, and Miami Beach-based Comras is led by Michael Comras. 

 

GoTu | downtown Miami 

 

Dental staffing marketplace tech firm GoTu leased an office at the Miami Tower. 

 

GoTu, formerly called TempMee, took 21,100 square feet on the entire 30th floor and a portion of the 31st floor at 100 Southeast Second Street in downtown Miami, according to the broker’s news release. 

 

Gordon Messinger was part of the CBRE team that represented the landlords. Jeff Gordon, also of CBRE, was part of the brokerage’s team that represented the tenant. 

 

GoTu is a software company that connects dental offices with staff such as hygienists and assistants, according to its website. It lists offices throughout Florida, as well as four in Texas and one in Georgia. 

Boca Raton-based CP Group and New York-based DRA Advisors own the 47-story Miami Tower. CP, formerly called Crocker Partners, is led by Angelo Bianco and Chris Eachus. DRA is led by David Luski.
