Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill misses practice due to hip injury

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill may be dealing with an injury concern ahead of his team’s divisional game against the New England Patriots.

The team announced Wednesday that Hill missed practiced due to a hip injury.

If Hill is ruled out for Sunday’s game, it would be his first game missed as a member of the Dolphins.

Hill has 53 catches and leads the entire NFL with 902 yards, seven touchdowns and receiving yards per game (128.9).

Any long-term absence could undercut Miami’s efforts to win the AFC East and potentially land a first-round bye as the conference’s No. 1 seed.

Miami is currently 5-2 on the year, which is the best record in the division and tied for the second-best mark in the AFC behind the 6-1 Kansas City Chiefs.

The Dolphins will take a wait-and-see approach with Hill as they prepare to face New England, who is currently in last place in the AFC East at 2-5.

If Hill misses time, look for Miami to rely on the combination of Waddle, Braxton Berrios, Cedrick Wilson Jr. and perhaps even the newly acquired Chase Claypool could keep the aerial attack afloat.

The Dolphins will host the Patriots Sunday at 1 p.m. at Hard Rock Stadium.
