Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami Reveals Its $50 Million Penthouse – Robb Report

The view really is much better at the top, especially if it’s from a $50 million penthouse at Waldorf Astoria Residences Miami. While the tower is nowhere near being completed—that won’t be until 2026—the demand for the posh condos, including both penthouses, is soaring.

The 1,049-foot-tall structure is Miami’s first supertall tower and the tallest residential building south of New York City. Located on Miami’s Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami, it stands out from the Miami skyline with its architecturally striking facade of nine spiraling offset glass cubes. The cubes, evenly stacked and wrapped in glass, resemble carefully placed jewel-box-like blocks, and every cube offers more exceptional views than the last. The gravity-defying concept was spearheaded by Sieger Suarez Architects and architect Carlos Ott and was designed to emphasize the structure’s height and create unique views on each floor.

An open, linear fire feature separates the formal living and dining spaces.

The tower will house 360 private residences plus a Waldorf Astoria-branded hotel with 205 guest rooms. The guest rooms and hotel amenities will be situated within the building’s lower three cubes, while the residences will take over the top six cubes. The open-plan residences were designed by interior design firm BAMO and include modern architecture, customized finishes, including marble and custom Italian vanities, as well as state-of-the-art appliances and the latest in smart home technology.

One of the tower’s five penthouse residences, and the only one currently for sale, with a sky-high price of $50 million, covers an entire floor of the ninth cube and spans more than 13,100 square feet. There are six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, oversized living spaces, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The penthouse feels like a private home in the sky thanks to its location on one of the highest floors, but also thanks to its comprehensive suite of in-unit amenities. While the tower will offer both private residential amenities and access to the hotel’s amenities, this penthouse comes with its very own gym, a movie theater, a wine room, a library, a spa, a pool, and enclosed balconies. There are 360-degree panoramic views, from Miami Beach and the Atlantic Ocean to the downtown skyline and beyond.

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic views from the family room.

The spacious home, as ideal for large families as it is for someone who loves to entertain, features a formal dining room, separated from the living space by a glass-enclosed fireplace. The living room, larger than most people’s homes, has never-ending ocean views in both directions and includes several seating areas and direct access to the enclosed balcony. Nearby, the private wine room comes with floor-to-ceiling wine storage to mimic an underground cellar.

Most impressive is the primary suite. The marble-swathed en-suite bathroom looks like a five-star spa, with a freestanding tub overlooking the ocean and custom Italian vanities. Meanwhile, the dual walk-in closets look like designer boutiques.

Because the building is not yet finished, every room in the penthouse can be customized to fit the buyer’s wants and needs. Turn the gym into a nursery or meditation retreat, or convert one of the bedrooms into another massive closet.

The primary bedroom offers a lavish bathroom and custom dressing rooms.

Owners will also have access to a private concierge, and the smart home technology within the residence includes a custom mobile app so owners can seamlessly book spa services, dining reservations, house car reservations, and other services, from dry cleaning to dog walking. Owners will also be able to participate in one-of-a-kind experiences organized by Waldorf Astoria.
