Australian Billionaire’s $85M Beverly Hills Pad Is the Week’s Most Expensive Home


Australian billionaire James Packer has just listed his Beverly Hills mansion, which was previously the home of Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman. The prime piece of real estate hitting the market for $85 million is this week’s most expensive home on Realtor.com®.

According to The Real Deal, the DeVito family lived in the home for 21 years before selling it to developers, who undertook an extensive renovation. Packer purchased the home in 2018 for $60 million.

Other pricey properties that hit the market this week include a sprawling 18,569-acre ranch in New Mexico, a New York country retreat with an aromatherapy room, and a California mansion featuring Pacific Ocean views.

The owner of this primo property is investment banker Daniel Stern, according to Curbed New York. Stern reportedly bought the property from philanthropist Samuel P. Peabody in 2011, paying $1.5 million over the asking price.
