MATCH PREVIEW: Inter Miami CF II Set to Face Huntsville City FC on the Road This Sunday
Inter Miami CF II (4W-15L-4D, 17 points) is set to carry on with 2023 MLS NEXT Pro action this weekend as the team takes on Nashville SC affiliate side, Huntsville City FC (9W-9L-5D, 35 points), on Sunday, August 27 at Joe Davis Stadium at 7 p.m. ET.
This matchday 24 fixture will mark the third time both sides go head-to-head this regular season, with Inter Miami II seeking to take lead in the series following its two latest matchups against Huntsville, falling 2-0 on the road in June, and earning a 4-3 win at home at DRV PNK Stadium in late April.
The Herons will visit Huntsville looking to bounce back and finish this week strong following its most recent match at DRV PNK Stadium, falling 1-2 against Crown Legacy FC last Saturday night. The match, however, did feature a first professional career goal for 16-year-old Academy product and midfielder Santiago Morales, where he headed the ball towards the back of the net from the center of the box, coming off a cross from fellow Academy product Alejandro Flores, with the midfielder tallying his second assist of the season
Huntsville City, meanwhile, will enter Sunday’s fixture after recently defeating Philadelphia Union II 5-2 last Sunday at home.
