Body found floating in Miami River
MIAMI – A body was spotted Thursday afternoon floating in the Miami River, first responders confirmed.
A resident who lives in the 1000 block of Northwest North River Drive told Local 10 that he spotted the body from his apartment building.
Miami police confirmed they responded to the scene just after noon, along with Miami Fire Rescue personnel.
Sky 10 was above the area around 1:15 p.m. after the body was removed from the water.
Police confirmed that Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene and an investigation into the victim’s death is underway.
It’s unclear whether foul play is suspected.
