Bruce Koniver Joins New Firm


Bruce Koniver is moving on from the break-up.

Just months after splitting with longtime business partner Lyle Stern and closing Koniver Stern, their commercial real estate firm of 30 years, Koniver is teaming up with his sons. 

Odyssey Retail Advisors, a New York City-based commercial real estate firm co-founded by his son Charlie Koniver, announced it has partnered with Bruce Koniver in its expansion to Miami, according to a press release. Bruce Koniver’s son Lee Koniver is also joining Odyssey Retail Advisors as a managing broker in Miami. He previously worked with Koniver Stern.

Odyssey Retail Advisors is also expanding to Chicago, Retail Dive reported.

Also in Miami, agents Nathalie Azoubel and Lindsey Lamchick are launching a Side-backed brokerage called the Edit, a press release shows. Lamchick is a real estate attorney and was an agent with Douglas Elliman for more than a decade, LinkedIn shows. Azoubel was previously a partner at the Procura Group, a Miami-based firm that supplies developers with high-end finishes, according to the release. She was also briefly an agent with the Corcoran Group.

A slew of South Florida agents have launched Side-backed brokerages in recent months, including Lucrecia Lindemann, Jose Medina, Dexter Brandao, Marco Tiné and Alyssa Morgan

KW Property Management & Consulting named Jorge Lago as the firm’s chief operating officer, according to a press release. He was previously a senior vice president with Miami-based My Community Homes for two years, and before that spent three years as a vice president at Wells Fargo in Seattle, the release shows. 

In his new role, he will work with KW president Katalina Cruz on personnel, operations and technology.

Commercial brokerage Lee & Associates South Florida is bringing in TCC Advisors founder Todd Cohen as a principal, according to a press release. He will continue to head TCC Advisors and merge it into the brokerage, while splitting time between Lee’s offices in Miami and Deerfield Beach, the release said.

He was previously a managing director of sales and training at Annapurna Partners in Fort Lauderdale for three years, LinkedIn shows.

Pompano Beach-based general contractor Current Builders announced it brought in Raed Al as vice president of structures, and promoted Paul Mumford to vice president of operations for CB Structures, a division of Current Builders. 

Al joins the firm from KD Construction of Florida, another Pompano Beach construction company, where he worked for seven years as a senior project manager. Mumford joined the firm as an area manager last year, according to the release.
