Four New Restaurants, 19 Total

Michelin announced its 2023 stars for Florida— Miami, Orlando and Tampa— on May 12 at the LoanDepot Park in Miami. For its second edition, 19 restaurants made the list (12 in Miami, four in Orlando, three in Tampa) with four new entries this year.

Tambourine Room by Tristan Brandt in Miami Beach; and Koya, Lilac and Rocca in Tampa, received their first stars this year. L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon Miami remains on top of the list, awarded two stars for the second year in a row.

Thirty-three restaurants were recipients of the Bib Gourmand— defined as restaurants that “offer a meal of good quality at a good value.” This includes eight new additions: Jaguar Sun and Rosie’s in Miami; Isan Zaap, Norigami and Otto’s High Dive in Orlando; and Gorkhali Kitchen, Psomi, and Taste of Chengdu.

Four special awards were given to: Benjamin Coutts of Soseki in Orlando (Sommelier Award), Jaguar Sun in Miami (Exceptional Cocktails Award), Christina Theofilos of Psomi in Tampa (Young Chef Award); and Matthew Braden of Lilac in Tampa (Service Award).

“Florida has three distinct culinary hotspots that make the state a premier destination for gourmet-travelers, who can experience a wealth of flavors and creative cooking styles,” shared Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides.
