The SMU football team added its third Miami transfer commitment of the day when defensive lineman Jordan Miller made his announcement on Sunday night.

Miller joins fellow defensive lineman Elijah Roberts and running back Jaylan Knighton who announced on Sunday morning. The Mustangs have also added West Virginia cornerback Charles Woods and Stanford safety Jonathan McGill since the portal officially opened less than a week ago.

Coming out of Jacksonville’s Sandalwood High in 2018, Miller was a 3-star recruit when he signed with the Hurricane. He played in 48 games over five seasons, redshirting in 2018 and will use his extra year of eligibility from the 2020 COVID season with SMU.

The 6-4, 320-pound defensive tackle had 60 tackles, 11 for loss, and three sacks at Miami.

A fourth Miami player, wide receiver Key’Shawn Smith was also at SMU this weekend.
