Fendi Casa Has A New Flagship Store In Miami

A few days ago, Fendi Casa opened it’s first flagship store in Miami, in the heart of the Design District, a bustling neighborhood of avant-garde creativity that boasts fashion and design boutiques. Silvia Venturini Fendi, creative director of the Fendi Casa Collection and artistic director of Fendi accessories and menswear, and Alberto Da Passano, CEO of design hosted guests.

Attending the opening was Camila Coelho, Mary Leest, Fernanda Medina, Georges Coupet, and others.

The opening is part of the Italian brand’s second step in a roadmap of strategic development started in 2021, in conjunction with Design Holding, through a joint venture of Fashion Furniture Design (known as FF Design). The new boutique includes Viennese artist Lukas Gschwandtner’s triclinium formation of chaise lounge chairs, one of which is located in the show window of the new boutique, representing the link between Fendi and Fendi Casa.

With 6,350 square feet, the black and white exterior with large windows is minimal, yet creates a conversation between the inside and outside of the boutique. Designed by the Fendi Architecture Department, with the aim of linking Fendi and Fendi Casa shops around the world. The FF logo is re imagined in a unique pattern that’s found on the walls while the ceiling around the boutique includes relief decorations. Spread out over two levels, it’s clear to see the Roman touches around the Maison. Surfaces are brushed in steel and champagne-colored metal, and Arabescato Vagli marble and concrete are modulated and juxtaposed to accentuate each piece in the collection.

The Materioteca is a room where customers, architects, and interior designers can through an immersive experience sample a range of materials in the Fendi Casa Collection for the purpose of personalization and bespoke design.

“The absolute centerpieces of the space are, of course, the furnishings, designed by leading names in international design under the creative direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi,” shares the House in notes. From Piero Lissoni’s Ohe outdoor seating system to Marcel Wanders’ O’Lock mirror, to the Matrice bookcase, in steel and crystal, designed by Dimorestudio: each piece draws on the heritage of savoir-faire, tradition and attention to detail that has always been part of FENDI’s DNA, reinterpreting it with a profoundly contemporary spirit, while at the same time fostering the values of authenticity, uniqueness and desirability that have always characterized the Maison.”

The first flagship was in Milan’s Piazza della Scala in April of this year. And, the first Asian boutique will open in February 2023 in Shanghai. These openings solidify Fendi Casa’s presences in key regions around the world.

The boutique opened in conjunction with DesignFMiami, a limited-edition international design fair drawing, collectors, gallery owners, designers, curators, and critics from the US and internationally. Fendi has been a part of this event, working with established and up and coming designers like Cristina Celestino, Chiara Andreatti, Dimorestudio, Formafantasma, and Peter Mabeo.

The new flagship store is located at 4120 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33137.
