More than 1,500 people without power in Miami Valley – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

MIAMI VALLEY — As high winds hit the Miami Valley, more than 1,000 residents are without power.

As of 1:30 p.m., 2,565 customers are without power, according to the AES Outage Map.

The following outages have been reported in the region:

Greene: 1,014

Darke: 414

Miami: 27

Montgomery: 151

Preble: 11

Clark (Ohio Edison): 134

The cause of the outage is not known at this time, but initial scanner traffic indicates multiple reports of downed trees and power lines across the region.
