Leaf collection underway in Miami Township – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

MIAMI TWP. — Leaf collection has officially begun in Miami Township.

Public Works crews will begin in the northern part of the township and make their way south, residents can expect at least two passes through their neighborhoods by November 27, according to the Miami Township Public Works Department.

The township is asking residents to have all leaves curbside by November 27 to ensure they are collected regardless where crews are working and not to put your leaves in the street.

Bagged leaves will not be collected, the Township said.

The final round will begin November 27.

Alternatives to collection include mulching with lawnmower, composting leaves and properly bagging for Rumpke Trash pickup.
