1. If you’re wondering where to pick up a pumpkin in South Florida to celebrate the coming of autumn, Patch Miami has you covered with a guide. On the list are Flamingo Road Nursery, Santa’s Garden, Little Farm, Pinto’s Farm and more. (Miami Patch)

2. Police arrested a South Florida man accused of shooting two teenagers on Friday. Neysser Poey-Gomez was charged him with attempted murder. Police say the accused knew the victims and shot them over an ongoing feud. (WSVN)

3. The Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau‘s Miami Spice restaurant month runs from now through the end of the month and features options starting at $28 for a two-course lunch and $45 for a three-course dinner. The list includes restaurants featured in the inaugural Michelin Guide Florida including COTE Miami. (WPLG Local 10)

4. A South Florida native who went missing while hiking in Southern California was found dead on Thursday, according to authorities. Tim Sgrignoli, 29, disappeared Sunday while hiking with his girlfriend in the Gaviota Peak area. Sgrignoli went to find water and help for his girlfriend suffering from heat exhaustion before his disappearance. No foul play is suspected. (NBC Miami)

5. Ken Griffin has been revealed as the buyer of the most expensive residential real estate in Miami history. Griffin owns The Citadel and purchased the property in Coconut Grove for $106,875,000. The property entered the market at $150 million and sold 29% below that. (The Real Deal – Miami, New York Post)

  • Edition is building its first-ever standalone branded residences in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood. It will feature 185 homes in a 55-story waterfront tower. (Robb Report)
  • Saif Ishoof is working to build a community of talent in Miami and is known as “Miami’s-Connector-In-Chief.” He is the founder of consulting tech firm Lab22c and former Vice President for FIU’s Office of Engagement. (Refresh Miami)
  • A retired Hialeah firefighter is accused of selling certifications in life-saving techniques without providing any training, State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle said. Carlos Ernesto Rojas,60, was a 20-year veteran of the Hialeah Fire Department. He is charged with one count of organized scheme to defraud, a third-degree felony and additional charges could be on the way. (WPLG Local 10)
