A Peek Inside the Homes of Ben Affleck

Ben Affleck has been busy. The 50-year-old actor/director tied the knot with superstar Jennifer Lopez, after rekindling their romance that supposedly flamed out a couple of decades ago. Along with wedding bells in not one, but two locales, the couple seem to be consolidating their real estate holdings.

The power couple share a taste in expensive real estate. But despite a high-profile home search in Los Angeles and their reported purchase of a megamansion, which fell through, they’ve decided on a backup plan. The duo will instead move into a spread already owned by Lopez that’s currently being massively renovated, in preparation for their blended family to live together.

While they await the renovation, the newlyweds are reportedly renting a Beverly Hills crib once owned by Danny DeVito. The lovebirds have also been spotted in ritzy real estate around the country, and Affleck has notched a recent real estate win of his own. Let’s take a look at the Oscar winner’s posh pads.

All the right moves

Sold! After listing his Pacific Palisades pad for $30 million in early August, the home is now in contingent sale status after just 22 days on the market.

The sale price isn’t known yet, but Affleck stands to pocket a hefty profit for the place he picked up in 2018 for $19 million.

Described as a “gated oasis,” the mansion measures 13,453 square feet and comes with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Built in 2017, it features box-beamed ceilings, bay windows, formal living and dining rooms, a kitchen with high-end appliances, and a family room that opens fully to the backyard.

It also comes with a “wellness room,” lounge, home theater, lower-level rec room with a full bar, wine cellar, and gym.

Out back, there’s a dining patio, kitchen, lawn, and pool with a slide and spa. The property also includes a three-car garage and a guesthouse.

Previously, Affleck and his first wife, Jennifer Garner, picked up another Pacific Palisades property for $17.55 million in 2009.

They added some personal touches to the 9,000-square-foot abode on 3 acres, expanding it and adding a guesthouse.

The couple split in 2018 and sold this home for $32 million to Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo. The Maroon 5 frontman and Victoria’s Secret model remodeled the home, which was featured in Architectural Digest in 2021.

Georgia estate

Lopez and Affleck officially wed in Las Vegas, then they opted for a more elaborate celebration at Affleck’s estate in Riceboro, GA.

The actor purchased the riverfront “Greek Revival–style plantation house” in 2003, when the couple were in phase 1 of their romance. Affleck paid $7.11 million for the circa 2000 6,360-square-foot home on 87 acres. In addition, there was a guesthouse, summer cottage, and deep-water dock.

The property was listed in 2018 for $8.9 million, then taken off the market in 2020.

Under the glare of media attention following its role in the couple’s nuptials, the controversial locale now comes across as cringeworthy.

“The plantation was worked by slaves and Creek Indians, and the property dates back to before the Civil War,” according to the Daily Mail. The publication also noted somewhere on the property is an “unmarked slave graveyard.”

Romance and real estate

During their courtship, Affleck and Lopez have been spotted across the country in various high-end homes. In 2021, the two holed up at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Montana, where Affleck is a member. Other clubmembers include Bill Gates as well as Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen. Lopez and Affleck reportedly relaxed at a private home with a private chef.

After her breakup with Alex Rodriguez, Lopez had moved into a $130,000 a month rental in Miami Beach, FL. That Sunshine State property is on the market for $28.5 million. The contemporary 10,000-square-foot mansion has 11 bedrooms and designer furnishings. It boasts a gym, office, and guesthouse.

A waterfront estate, it also has an outdoor area with a large pool, spa, dock, and boat lift.
