MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT, ABA SET TO OPEN IN MIAMI THIS FALL

Miami’s culinary scene will keep heating up this year with the highly-anticipated debut of Aba, the stunning Mediterranean restaurant opening this Fall 2022 on the ground floor of the Bal Harbour Shops. From Top Chef alum CJ Jacobson and Executive Partner and Divisional President Marc Jacobs, Aba will showcase a menu that features a fusion of rich flavors from Israel, Lebanon, Turkey and Greece with Chef CJ’s Californian influences. Part of Chicago-based restaurant group, Lettuce Entertain You
Restaurants, Aba marks the group’s first Miami restaurant as part of their expansion into
South Florida.

Aba’s menu will feature dishes that showcase Chef CJ Jacobson’s lighter style of cooking,
with highlights such as Carrot and Sunflower Dip with sunflower tahini, Torched Toro Toro
with watermelon and crystalized castelvetrano olives and Avocado Hummus with dungeness
crab. Other signature dishes include Everything Jerusalem Bagel with smoked salmon spread,
Hamachi with charred avocado, Shawarma Spiced Skirt Steak with black garlic mushroom
jus and Grilled Mahi Mahi with roasted garlic yogurt.

To complement the cuisine, Mixologist Liz Pearce will create a bar program that features
drinks made with ingredients and flavors from the Mediterranean and Southern California.
The wine list will feature unique selections from across the Mediterranean, favoring
winemakers that utilize sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic growing practices.
Aba will bring the coastal vibes of summer in the Mediterranean to Bal Harbour with a
240+ seat restaurant including an indoor dining room and bar, covered patio, mezzanine
bar and terrace.

Aba, which means “Father” in Hebrew is an extension of Chef CJ Jacobson’s first restaurant,
Ema, which means “Mother” in Hebrew. Aba has two existing locations in Chicago and
Austin.
